El Plebeyo Mote Maize 500g



It is a variety of maize native to the Andes . It is known that both the Moche culture and the Incas consumed it roasted. The Jesuit Bernabé Cobo, who lived in Cuzco in 1609, reflected in his writings that roasted corn was eaten in ‘kancha’ in the area. This is still called this type of corn when it is roasted.
